I actually liked Persona 5’s story much better than Persona 4, although that’s just my opinion. The first story arc was gripping and delved upon very heavy topics that aren’t usually covered in video games.Īs you progress, the plot thickens and many twists and turns are to be experienced. The storyline is somewhat similar to Inception since the main characters have to change the “heart” of several people inside their subconscious mind. This is all thanks to a likable cast of characters and one of the best video game stories of all time. Persona 5 isn’t just a great JRPG, as it’s one of the best games I have ever played from any genre. However, the game I poured the most hours into this year is the excellent Persona 5.
